What about the separation of Church and State?
The power structures of the Church and State must remain separate, yes, but this does not mean that Biblical truth must be kept out of the State!
King David went to God in prayer daily for guidance. King Solomon received his wisdom not by his own means, but from God himself. Our society has pushed God so far away from politics that now even some Christians believe His truth — His law — shouldn’t have anything to do with our government!
The State needs to be guided by Biblical truth. It is the lack of this moral guide that has led to the current corruption and moral drift of our Parliament.
Every government is guided by some set of religious beliefs, because it is impossible to separate religion from politics. Every law made — be it marriage, murder, family taxation and childcare, or guns — reflects an ethical system which grows out of religious convictions of some kind.
It’s not a questions of “Religion, or no religion?“, it’s a question of “Which religion?” Our current government is guided by a religion called “Secular Humanism.” There is no such thing as a ethical vacuum; there is always some ethical system that guides decisions in the public square.
Secular Humanism teaches that there is no absolute truth, no absolute right, no absolute wrong. Basically, we can make up any kind of law we want to, and live our lives by any lack-of-standard we want to. It is this belief that is rotting away our Parliament, and it is this belief that will eventually destroy Canada.
Parliament needs to again be guided by Biblical truth. Canada needs to vote the CHP into Parliament!
