So just what is 40 Days for Life? Here’s an excerpt from the official website:
40 Days for Life is a community-based campaign, taking place all across Canada and the US, that draws attention to the evil of abortion through the use of a three-point program:
Prayer and fasting
Constant vigil
Community outreach
40 Days for Life takes a determined, peaceful approach to showing local communities the consequences of abortion in their own neighborhoods, for their own friends and families. It puts into action a desire to cooperate with God in the carrying out of His plan for the end of abortion.
This campaign is taking place right here in New Brunswick as well, with an on-site prayer vigil taking place at the Morgentaler Clinic, 554 Brunswick St., Fredericton; 14 hours-a-day for 40 days.
There is a KICK-OFF RALLY tonight, Tuesday, September 22, at 7 p.m. at the Knights of Columbus Hall, 170 Regent St. All supporters are invited. Jason Farris, CHP New Brunswick President, will be in attendence to speak, encourage, and lend support.
It’s not too late to get involved! If you would like to participate in this worthwhile cause, please add your name to the prayer schedule at http://lifenb40days.blogspot.com/ or call 506-459-8990.
