Death and waste, or life and accountability?

Death is a natural part of life. Michael Jackson and Farrah Fawcett passed away this past week… a sad situation, especially for the families, and I wish them comfort at this difficult time in their lives.

What I find curious is the amount of press coverage these events have received. While celebrities definitely impact people, and so too do their deaths, I wonder why our media, and seemingly much of the Canadian population (judging by the Blogosphere and Facebook entries), make the appearance that these events are more important and worthy of consideration than more pressing matters such as abortion, homosexual marriage, judicial activism, a massive national debt and government waste? Our country is crumbling around us, and rather than speak up and take a stand for what’s right for the nation to curb the trend, Canadians, or at least our media, would rather devote much time and energy to cover the death of 1 or 2 individuals.

Last week, the Conservative government granted $400,000 to the Toronto “gay pride” parade. That’s hardly the action of a “conservative” government, and it promotes a segment of society that cannot sustain itself. There is zero population growth in a gay society. Aside from the moral objections, this is just a bad business decision on the government’s part, especially in the recessionary times we are in today. Just another example of government waste and the lack of concern shown for taxpayers’ hard earned money.

The majority of Canadians actually DO want change in Canada. They want a return to the moral, and dare I say it, Christian values this country was founded upon.

CHP Canada is the answer. CHP Canada is the better solution. Surveys have shown that the majority of Canadians — an overwhelming 76% — agree with the policies set out by CHP Canada. All that needs to happen is for these people to just vote their conscience and we’ll have a major victory for the future of Canada!

Canadians are finally starting to realize that by working with the “other” parties in government today — the Liberals, Conservatives, NDP — they are simply adding to the problem. While these parties have good and decent people as MPs, the party policies are forcing those MPs into silence on the major issues effecting Canadians today. Whether they like it or not, Canadians vote parties into government, not individuals. And parties are run by policy. The current policies represented in the House of Commons are not getting the job done… and there are no intentions of changing them.

It’s time for Canadians to stand up for their country before the country they know is no more. It’s time for new policies to be brought to Parliament. It’s time to vote CHP MPs into government!

Let’s make a difference together. Support CHP Canada for a better tomorrow.
